Stacey Welfel, PT, MSPT, CBIS

President

Stacey is from Houston, Texas where she practiced for 19 years before coming to Colorado. Stacey received her Master’s degree in physical therapy from Texas Woman’s University in 2004 and is a proud alumnus of the University of Texas at Austin where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in kinesiology. She spent much of her career at the top-ranked TIRR Memorial Hermann rehabilitation hospital where she served on the brain injury team. She has treated patients across the neuro-rehab spectrum including inpatient rehab, outpatient rehab, home health, and community reintegration providing her a glimpse into the real-life struggles of this patient population and a cultivating a unique treatment approach. Stacey is a Certified Brain Injury Specialist and Certified Fall Prevention Specialist and has a passion for serving clients with life-altering neurological injuries and diagnoses to help them to live their best possible life.

When she’s not working, Stacey enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters. She volunteers as a leader for her daughter’s Girl Scout troop and enjoys molding the next generation of leaders and sharing her love of the outdoors. Stacey enjoys kayaking, camping, and exploring all that Colorado has to offer. Stacey and her husband, Michael, own and operate Dynamic Physical Therapy.

Ashley Kudron, PT, DPT, PRPC, Cert. DN

Clinical Director

Ashley has always had an affinity for sports, functional movement, exercise and science, which led to her pursuing a career as a physical therapist. She was a gymnast, a three sport athlete in high school and pursued soccer at the collegiate level. Ashley went on to receive her doctorate in physical therapy from Loma Linda University. For almost a decade of her career, she has primarily treated orthopedics with a special interest in the athletic population. She has advanced her training in skilled, hands-on techniques and also received top-level training on lower body biomechanics, gait, spinal and pelvic dysfunction. She is Pilates and dry needling certified and utilizes cupping, taping techniques and SFMA as adjunct components to her treatment approach. She also spent 6 months living in Saudi Arabia as a personal physical therapist to several members of the royal family.

Ashley has spent the last 5 years furthering her training in pelvic health and manual skills through the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation Institute and growing in her experience specializing in pelvic rehabilitation. She has recently become certified in pelvic floor rehab with her PRPC and has also served as a TA at their pelvic floor series courses.

Ashley is passionate about increasing awareness and improving care for people with pelvic floor dysfunction. She is not only well versed in the biomechanical nature of pelvic floor dysfunction, but understands the psychosocial implications of pelvic floor limitations and is ready to work with you and your health care team to improve your quality of life.

Samantha Wood, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS

Dr. Samantha Wood, is an avid ultra-marathoner and a Major in the California Army National Guard. She served 7-years as an active duty physical therapist for the Army before settling in Colorado Springs.

Dr. Wood is board-certified in Orthopedics from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists, a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA), and a Certified APTA Clinical Instructor. She holds additional certifications in the Functional Movement Screen, the Selective Functional Movement Assessment, Integrated Dry Needling (Advanced), and Functional Taping. Dr. Wood frequently performs running assessments and has instructed group running courses in the military. She graduated from the U.S. Army-Baylor Doctoral Program in Physical Therapy in 2011 and she holds a B.S. in Exercise Science from Lipscomb University (Nashville, TN, 2007).

Over the past 24-years Dr. Wood has competed in foot races from 1-mile to 200-miles and has represented the U.S. Army in cross country, the marathon, orienteering, obstacle course racing, biathlon, and competitive shooting throughout the U.S. and around the world.

 

Katie Cira, PT, DPT, Cert DN

Katie grew up in Loveland, Colorado, and traveled to Virginia to complete her undergraduate and graduate degrees. She attended Liberty University and received her Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science. Katie went on to earn her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Lynchburg College in 2017. She is also certified in Dry Needling. While in high school, Katie went on many mission trips and fell in love with helping and serving people. These trips combined with her fascination with the human body, set her on the path to Physical Therapy. Katie has been working in the general outpatient orthopedics realm and loves working with patients recovering from sports injuries.

When Katie is not in the clinic she loves spending time with her family and close friends. She enjoys sewing, baking, watching TV, camping in the summer, and riding horses when she can. 

Esperanza “Hope” Calderon, DPT

Hope graduated from Wingate University with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy and also holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Wellness from Arizona State. She is excited to expand her knowledge in all fields of physical therapy as well as streamlining the populations she enjoys the most.

When she's not at work she enjoys hiking with her Corgi mix, Benjamin, playing soccer/volleyball, running half marathons, and exploring new coffee shops. She also likes to listen to 2000s R&B and anything country.

Jordan Ada, PTA

Jordan is a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant with a focus in Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation and Pediatric Care. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Colorado State University Pueblo, where she developed a deep understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology. She later earned an Associate of Applied Science degree at Pueblo Community College to pursue her passion for helping individuals recover and regain their physical well-being through rehabilitation. She has honed her abilities to provide exceptional care.

 

Jen Corgan, PTA

Jen graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor's in Health and Exercise Science with a concentration in Sports Medicine. After graduation, she cared for patients as a member of the rehabilitation therapy department in an acute care hospital where she developed a passion in neuro physical therapy. Jen continued her education at Pikes Peak State College graduating with her Associates in Applied Science. 

Jen is originally from San Diego, CA.  Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, weight lifting, and arts and crafts.

Renee Muellner, PTA

Renee graduated from Tarrant County Jr College In Texas with an Associates Degree in Applied Science (Physical Therapist Assistant). She practiced In Texas from the 90's through 2020 in all realms of physical therapy; her specialty is aquatic therapy. She has attended many aquatic therapy seminars & symposiums to continue to grow her knowledge & techniques for all possible diagnoses. 

     Renee moved from Texas to Colorado in 2020 to live in her dream location of Colorado Springs where she and her kids had vacationed for many, many years. She is now able to go hiking, camping & enjoy the beauty of the mountains in all seasons without the heat & humidity of Texas. Her love of the outdoors is as important to her as her patients!

Michael Komrofske, PTA

Michael is a Physical Therapist Assistant who enjoys helping individuals regain strength, mobility, and confidence. He holds a degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Northern Colorado and earned his Physical Therapist Assistant degree from Pima Medical Institute in 2014. This dual expertise enables him to combine in-depth movement science with practical therapeutic skills, delivering highly effective and personalized patient care.

Outside of work, Michael is passionate about hockey and enjoys spending his free time on the golf course.
